Please help,

I've added a NV GeForce 6200TC into a PC with the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 card, and ran into problems. OS is WinXP Pro.

First I added the 6200, removed the ATI driver and worked a couple of days only on 6200.
Then, I installed the catalyst sw and driver for the ATI, and wanted to have both cards, but then my NVIDIA (and the main monitor connected to it) stopped to work.
When I go to Desktop settings and say I want to use that display, Windows asks me to activate that display, but can't perform it. I lose the second display, and only get the one connected with ATI.

I haven't dealt with any advanced settings.

Is there any quick info on how to make them run together, or do I have to investigate and where, in order to have them peacefully co-exist on my PC ? :))

Thanks,
Sto Volem

Sounds to me like the ATI is built into the motherboard....If thats the case then I don’t believe you can use both.
Either use the Dedicated Nvidia card, and disable the built in ATI in the bios or use the Built in ATI card and remove the dedicated 6200 Nvidia card.

BTW uninstall both of the drivers in safe mode, use driverCleaner, and reinstall the one for the appropriate choice you make. Hope that helps.

yes, built into the mb.

darn.

I wanted so much to have both of them alive, and I already prepared second monitor and everything... :)

anyway, thanks.

The NVIDIA card should have two display ports on it. Just use that. nView, which is built into the Forceware drivers, generally does a good job of being flexible about having two monitors hooked up to it.

sorry but both monitors are the old analog style... so I can't use two monitors on the same nVidia... anyway thanks.

yes you can, just buy a DVI (digital) to VGA (analog) adapter. those are dirt cheap.
