I noticed this issue using the 177.41 drivers on GTX280 , Vista 32-bit , DX10 all v.high.
the issue seems to only appear in the "Relic" mission in these specific places (or perhaps underwater sun relections in common) .. driver issue ?

what specific places? loaded up crysis yesterday, didn't see anything on relic map

Check the center of the second screen with a close look .. it should be more obvious in motion.

I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about, but I've seen the same exact thing on my machine before many months ago. It's just how the game engine renders reflections where the light bends due to the surface of the water.

Hmm if thats the case then ok. i just wanted to check if this a 280 issue or something ..

That's intended. You get that when water is set to "Very High"

Very clear and wavy water can produce a prism effect in real life (look here for example (http://mirror-us-ga1.gallery.hd.org/_exhibits/places-and-sights/_more2002/_more01/Cuba-Trinidad-Caribbean-Sea-Playa-Ancon-clear-water-fish-1-MY.jpg), you see little rainbows in the ripples). The game approximates that, it's just a bit strong and "artifical" looking as you'd expect.
