What is this? just saw it on EVGA site under register new product.

01G-P3-1280-AR is EVGA GTX 280 (on OC) what is the new BR product?

I can't find "01G-P3-1280-BR" so it probably was misprint.
I know you're wishing for the GTX 280b too take on the HD 4870x2
but sorry nothing there yet. :)

Interesting. I found this page (http://www.combatready.de/elements_desc.php?products_id=12082) which seems to indicate it's the same card, and just for fun I looked at all of EVGA's lineup and they've never (from what I can see) used the BR for a graphics card before. They're almost all AR with the odd TR.

Edit - as post #2 said, probably a type-o. Part of me wants a refresh too, but part doesn't since I already have my 260s and I'd rather not get rid of them so soon.

When i RMA'd my 280 they had selection options for AR, BR, and several others.

It is exactly the same, only difference is the packaging type.

BR is for RMA replacement, they're NOT OEMs and shouldn't come to retail market(other than eBay).

that's odd, my "replacement product" was "AR".

Mind you, it came in a retail box as well.
