Err... that's like $3,500 isn't it?

Screw that. The parts would cost less than $2,000 and since there are better components available, its "worth" less than that...

You have to pay labour and probably also get a decent warranty guy. I wouldn't buy it no, but I know a lot of people who 'should' buy it.

You have to pay labour

What labour? PC building is fun , They should give a rebate for the privilege.

Warranty: you can already get a great warranty from EVGA on graphics cards and motherboards. There are also plenty of memory options out there that have great warranties as well. It doesn't cost that much to get a warranty on your cpu...

Labor: It doesn't take that long to put a computer together.... they're probably adding $80/hour for labor for a 3 hour burn in.... it's such a rip off.

Pass on the Raptor, over-priced.
Pass on the 9800GX2, better cards available out there.

good lord, that thing is a total rip off.

I just did a quick look on scan.co.uk with roughly the same components (a better case and Thermalright CPU cooler) and it came to 1639 inc VAT so you'd save at least 200 building it yourself.

For most people I know it's not any fun to build the system. They simple don't have the skill or time for it, so they let the experts do it.
I believe what grainger said is right "but I know a lot of people who 'should' buy it."
I would go as far as say most people should and the fact is majority off people do buy the PC ready to go, I should not forget some buy the Apple.

3 hour burn in

I haven't heard that phrase in a while...
Only wannabe gamers buy pre-built "gamer" pc's.
