I know there's 3d monitors that use them ,iz3D or Zalman ,but what use are the glasses without the monitor?
Cool I was lead to this Anaglyph capable 3d driver that works with ANY driver
Crysis only works with ATI though.

Nvidias 3d stereo lets you have the effect on any lcd, all you need is the glasses. The 3d monitors do not require any glasses as it's built into the lcd.

red and blue anaglyptic glasses work on any monitor ,
Nvidia driver also supports shutter glasses.
Polarized glasses are used for the Zalman and iz3D monitors.
Unless you know otherwise.
