So I'm upgrading from an 8800 GTS to a 4870 and would appreciate if someone could tell me the best way to (hopefully) fully remove the nVidia drivers before installing Catalyst.

Any special tricks or programs I should use?

Thanks very much!!

This is what I did worked like charm.

1) uninstall in the control panel
2) after the uninstall in control panel reboot hit f8 and boot into safe mode
3) download drivercleaner here http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
4) use drivercleaner to uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
5) use crapcleaner found http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ here
6) uninstall anything regarding Nvidia in the registry.

This works great for me.
