Hi Guys,

Sorry to ask what is probably a newb question. Tax refund came in early, and i figured i've earned a treat.. so i'm going to go grab a HD4870. But i need a PSU upgrade, so i'll do that at the same time.

would this do the trick? (and would it be good enough to support XFire if i decided to one day buy a second card):

I wouldn't trust that PSU for Xfire of 2 4870s. One should be just fine though.

ATI recomended minimum requirements for HD 4870 CrossFireX is 600 Watt and four 75 W 6-pin PCI-E power connectors. So it looks like yours doesn't qualify for the CrossFireX
