Boo.

That's Civ4: Beyond the Sword. Can't seem to shake these bugs, don't have a problem in any other games.

Better report it to the Cat driver team over on Rage if you haven't already. Eric and a few others are over there and have direct contact with them.

I have Civ 4, but not beyond the sword. If you want, I can reinstall the game and check to see if I'm getting the same artifacts.

I reinstalled myself and have not had the issue return.

Maybe some games need to be reinstalled after changing video cards (if you didn't do a full system reinstall), all the games I have tested are working fine since I removed the 8800GTX, but maybe there are games that collect info about the video card the first time are run and don't expect it to change

If I'm not mistaken, BF2 and BF2142 had that exact problem. I had to reinstall the game when I switched from a 7800GT to a 8800GTS

EDIT: Oops... it wasn't the Video card. It was when I switched from a CRT monitor to an LCD. My bad. Which was at the exact same time that I also switched from a 7800GT to a 8800GTS.

that depend on Shader Cache. All games that use Shader Cache either run it every single time on level load. or when ever part of video system changes (card, drivers).
