Why do copies of Final Fantasy 7 sell for more than retail? Or Xenogears, FF8, etc etc.

Because they don't make it anymore, and people collect junk like that.

It probably had a nice boost because of the recent Diablo announcement so people are getting nostalgic.

I've sold a couple DOS games for $40+. I think one of them was Martian Dreams (an Ultima game).

Or play'em.

It cost me 60 bux for a used copy of FF3, worth every penny IMHO. I still play it when I'm bored sometimes.
