They might have lost Elton, but they are MORE than making up for it. Listen to this lineup. I'm bolding all the new guys.

Baron Davis - Picked up from the Warriors. One of the best point guards in the league.

Marcus Camby - Picked up from the Nuggets. Best defender in the league. Leading shotblocker and 2nd in rebounds

Eric Gordon - Rookie, but a damn good rookie. Look for this guy to average over 20 points a game in the next 2-3 years.

Chris Kaman - All around good bigman. 16 ppg 13 rpg.

Al Thorton - A player that will be All Star calibre within the next 2 years. He can do it all. This is only his second year in the league.

Tim Thomas - 12ppg 5rpg 3apg. Solid player. Veteran

Ricky Davis - Picked up from the Heat. Solid player. 14ppg 4rpg 3 apg

Steve Novak - Picked up from the Rockets. 18.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in the D league. Of course he won't be that good in the NBA. But it definitely shows he has potential.

Jason Williams - Picked up from the Heat. 11.4 points, 6.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds

I don't care what anyone says, this is a solid group of players with incredible depth. Sure its not enough to win a championship, or even conference finals, but compared to last year this is a MUCH better team. Especially considering most of these players were picked up for peanuts. This is SIX solid players just picked up within the past month. All together they have added 10 players this year. They only have 14 players on the entire team. Thats incredible.

for sure they will be better then last year, but the west is very very hard....

They gave up their two best players, and the west isn't getting any weaker, aside from Goldent State now that they gave Baron to them. No way they make the playoffs.

I guarantee they will make the playoffs. So far I'm 100% with my guarantees involving the NBA.

The clippers now have a very solid team. They have a 9 man rotation of players that all of which are decently good. Much better than they have been for years. Two "star" players they had before didn't get them ANYWHERE because they had hardly any support. Now its 1 true star player and a team plum full of support. I'd rather have the latter.

Seriously. Look at that lineup. What position are the clippers lacking in? I'm not talking what position doesn't have an All Star. I just mean, what position would another team try to exploit a weakness? There are no weaknesses on this squad. Both for the starters and the bench.

What the Clippers are doing is exactly what those lowlife Cavaliers should be doing. The Clippers are picking up these players for very little money and getting incredible returns. The Cavaliers have the best player in the world and ZERO help. The Cavs don't even need another all star player, they just need some solid players that can be trusted. Now they don't have any but Ilgauskas(who is nearing the end of his career). I've stepped in puddles of water deeper then the Cavaliers.

Ok, we'll check back at the end of the season. No way they make the playoffs. The west has good teams... even Denver.

Denver lost the best defender in the entire league. I'll be very surprised if they make the playoffs.

Dude, you're counting on D-league player to be one of their best players lol.

Let me tell you something about the d-league. Alando Tucker (on the suns D-league team) scored 22ppg in the D-league. He didn't even get playing time on the suns.

Baron Davis and Marcus Camby are ALRIGHT, but that's not enough to get them into the playoffs with the ridiculous teams that the west has. If they do get in the playoffs they'll lose the first round.

Please show where I said he would be one of their best players? I said he had solid stats in D-League. Thats all. I know of plenty 20+ppg a game players in D league that suck in NBA.

I guarantee they'll make it to the first round of playoffs. Which, is pretty impressive if you ask me. Yea, they'll probably lose the first round of the playoffs. I never said they were a championship team, just a solid team capable of making the playoffs.

Its not just Baron Davis and Camby. They also have Kaman, Thorton, and Gordon. Thats 5 good players. 4 are proven good players in the NBA. Gordon is the only mixed bag being a rookie, but he has GREAT potential. Jason Williams is another pretty decent guard. The other players I listed were merely stating that they don't have a "scrub" bench. Very deep team.

They may make the playoffs, but I doubt they will get past the first round...I must admit, I am much more apt to watch them this year than in years past. I can't wait for the season to start!!! GO LAKERS!!!

Lakers are going to be incredible. The Hornets are just finding their game and will be much better too. Clippers are actually going to be worth watching. The Rockets actually have a chance at getting through the first round of the playoffs. Blazers have a chance at the playoffs. The Bulls and the Heat both are forming some pretty decent teams. They just need some size down low now. We have a new team in Oklahoma City.

On the flipside. The Nuggets will be worse. The Grizzlies will be worse. The Bucks will do worse. The Suns will do worse(I'll be surprised if these guys make the playoffs to be honest). Spurs will be worse(due to age). Pistons will be worse(due to age). Cavaliers will probably do worse(due to the team being run by absolute retards). Although I have to say the addition of Mo Williams will help them out. I'm still sure that even with this good trade, the Cavs will find a way to **** things up. They always do. Its my prediction that the Cavaliers will trade Lebron James this year or early next. They know they can't afford to keep him(due to paying all their scrubs 10+ million a year), but they can trade him for some pretty good talent.

Many Many Changes. Its going to be an exciting year. :D

bump.

Mike Taylor and Eric Gordan are playing phenomenal in preseason for being rookies. Very good choices for the clippers.

Clippers really do have one of the deepest teams in the NBA right now. No real super stars, but sure as hell have a lot of talent in all areas.

I'm making a prediction that the Clippers will have the biggest turn around season of the NBA. In comparison to this years and last. I'm also predicting they make the playoffs. Yes, in the West. They'll get knocked out in the first or second round probably, but team really is shaping up quite nicely.

LeBron will probably be gone somewhere else in 2010. Rumors speculate he'll be playing with the Knicks or the Nets. But we will have to see!

Lebron is going where ever the money is. If the Cavs can somehow save up a ****load of cash(and for god sakes stop giving scrubs like Varejo star money) , then I can actually see Lebron staying. However, thus far the Cavs have done nothing but run their team into the ground. They are pretty much paying Lebron pennies in comparison to what he's worth. With that said , they STILL Have a horrible supporting team. What on earth kind of team can they expect to have with Lebron actually getting paid decent?

Lebron WILL go where the money is, and that money will be with his boy Jay-Z (part owner of the Nets). Jay-Z will pay it, and Lebron will be happy to be working for his friend/idol...
