more should be coming in soon.
they're all pretty positive.
the ability to use an old graphics card as a dedicated physics card is definitely intriguing. im probly gonna be moving some cards around and adding an 8600gt to my pc.

For me Physx is still just a checklist feature, there aren't any games that I have played or am playing that have showed a tangible benefit. But now that pretty much anyone with a fairly recent nVidia graphics card has physx maybe we will see more support.

Agreed. There isn't a single game I own right now that is on the list that uses it, but it would be nice to see it used in future purchases.

i have a 8800gt but would it be possible to add a cheap 8400 too on my P5E3 which i dont this is an sli board and use the 8400 just for physx

where agei failed with getting there product out..i think nvidia is going to really get this on the road.

Things that are good about this is that you dont need a sli motherboard for this to work. Vista seems to have some limitation..

Yes any DX10 board from Nvidia will be capable of processing PhysX. Some will do better and provide higher performance/features based on their power.

So would a 8800GT or a 8800Ultra work better? I am guessing the 8800Ultra will though. I already have a eVga GTX280.

8800ultra would be a overkill just for physx. you should be fine with 8800gt

Well the 8800Ultra isn't even supported at all. I put my 8800GT back in.

it is supported with the latest leaked physx driver

Looks like I'll be going with a 780i or 790i after all. Sounds like 2x GTX260 + dedicated 8800GT for physics could be pretty sweet :D

There are at least 24 games that will be out supporting it sometime next year. Ten will be out by Christmas. How many DX 10.1 games will be out by the end of next year?

PhysX could prove very useful at elevated res or at a lower res in very demanding games. GPU PhysX more than tripled my FPS in Warmonger @ 1920x with all details maxed. I went from 20FPS to 63. That's a potential to be meaningful. That's moving from unplayable solidly into playable.

Warmonger at the tutorial start with all sliders to the right, or details maxed.

177.79 + PhysX 8.07.18 on the GTX 260 = 63FPS

As above but with an 8800GT doing PhysX for my 260 = 79FPS

177.41 no GPU PhysX = 20FPS

physX is a marketing tool to sell graphics card, plain and simple

Well I tried out the PhysX demo pack thing and I have to say it's an absolute
let down.

Crysis has better 'PhysX'.. (yes I know it's doesn't have actual PhysX') but the
Physics in Crysis are much better than this crap.

Like did anyone else try the demos? LOL Whatever !! OLD NEWS as far
as I'm concerned.
