I heard from a few people that Overclocking a quadcore isn't very well supported on the X38 chipset.. What's the deal with this?
I could go with a p45 board but then i would lose the dual 16x PCI-E lanes
For a Q6600 the X38 is good but not for the new 45nm quads. The X38 for some reason has a 440FSB problem. The X48 can to 450FSB and above.

I don't have a 45nm quad... really don't need to hit anymore that 3.4 3.5 ghz with it
Just got with a x38?

So my Bonetrail 2 should be good for a QX9650?
Ask Bigman. He knows all about mixing and matching bonetrail motherboards and CPU's.
