One of the most popular questions lately.

Please do a search man, we've had more topics on this recently than I care to remember ;)

I just bought mine from eXcaliberPC, but you can try GameVE, but they've had customer service issues in the past...

Installed it 2 days ago, and I booted up to 200MHz my 1st try! I didn't even bother trying 133 or 166, and now I'm running my 1700+ (new stepping low-volt t-bred-b) at 11x2000. (yes a 1.4GHz CPU @ 2.2GHz), ran Prime95 for 1/2 hr no issues...

It runs faster than an Barton 3000+ (at least according to Sandra)

Gonna try higher later...

LMAO! That's crazy. Stock cooling? I think I will buy one just to play around since it's dirt cheap. Where did you buy the chip from?

Might have to pick me up one too, only $42. :D

btw Cotita, they're shipping rev 2 of that mb, picked mine up earlier last month.

Going to move up to a 900U though, it's getting hot at load (low 50s). Idle is about 45C.

I have GeIL PC3500, and it can run with 3.1V, but the ABIT can only go to 2.9, so I have to lower the timings...

gotta love women

My girl is getting me the mobo

Is the box for the nf7-s 1.0, 1.2 and 2.0 the same?

Its not that I'm picky, but if I'm gonna get a free mobo I'd really like to get a 2.0. Come to think about it, I guess I'll have to "pay" for it one way or another hehehe.

The ones from newegg are 1.6's.

Cotita: what do you mean by the box? It should say which revision it is.

got one from eXcaliberPC...1.5V.

You pay a bit more, but you're gauranteed to get one...

How can you beat a XP 2700+ for $70!?

I've seen reviews of the abit nf7-s 2.0 and the box shots looks exactly the same as version 1.0 and 1.2.

v2.0 boards are clearly marked with a large green/yellow sticker on the side. Its also printed on the pcb and Abit has added a red led close to the northbridge to indicate the board is powered.

Very schweet o'c there Matty, I'm gonna grab one and use for my h2o cooled rig currently being built. My goal is to get close to 3Ghz :D
