I watched a program studying why there are so many awesome black runners.

The (sort of) conclusion is that running seems deep in the culture of black people. Like some of the school running competitions in London are have full stadiums of mainly black teens shouting and cheering all the athletes and in Jamaica there are walls of fame in a lot of school for all the great runners.

As far as genetics go - the make up is almost identical.
