View Full Version : Best Detonators for GF4 Ti4400?

Looking through all of the threads, I have gotten very confused as to what are the best drivers right now. I understand that the latest doesn't mean the greatest, and I have been hearing that the newer drivers (44.03s) aren't good for the GF4s, but rather the GF FX cards.

Can someone please tell me which drivers would work best (performance and IQ wise) on my Geforce 4 Ti4400? I am running Windows 2000.

Thanks!

Not sure about games or IQ but for performance in 3dmark then use 42.51 for 2001 and the " cheat " 42.68 in 03.

What do you recomend for the 9x/me side of things? I'd really appreciate any input. I'm looking more for great gaming performance than any benchmarks. :)

(BTW-Is the disapearing overlay-thingy bug the reason me mouse cursor keeps popping up occasionally during D3D games?!? )

The 43.51 WHQL from guru3d.com give very nice IQ+speed, nothing bad to report

I completely agree, OldMX. I've been using these drivers faithfully since they were released a little while ago, and they're the best set I've run on my particular rig. I've downloaded the FX drivers, but have yet to test them out (likely will not since I'm not having driver issues with what I'm using now).

Best of luck with getting a set that works well for you, Bloodsent. I'd suggest giving the 43.51's a shot and see how it goes. I don't personally believe in ever-fluctuating benchmark numbers so much as a satisfactory gaming experience.

Until next time...
...Be well.
K~

P.S. This driver set was tested on my machine with the following games thus far and have had no issues with very nice IQ: Jedi Knight II: Outcast, Postal 2, GTA: Vice City, X2: Wolverines Revenge, Quake 3, Bloodrayne, Neverwinter Nights, UT 2K3, Dungeon Siege, and Serious Sam Gold.
