What cable modem is the fastest with routers?

What cable modem would be the best when hooked through a Linksys router, the Linksys or the motorola?

I don't think it makes a diff anymore, although if you are gonna buy one, I'd get a Linksys cuz I hate Motorola...

We're on a Motorola Surfboard cable modem with a 3mbps/256kbps line, using a Linksys router for 4 computers, and it works great. The only problems we've ever had have been on the cable company side, so you'd be fine with the Motorola.

Although I love Linksys too. The router has been flawless, and we've got a Linksys 10/100 Switch for networking upstairs. So really you'd be fine with either one.
