View Full Version : High hopes for HALO

Did anyone else check out the screenshots of halo that 3Dgamers has up on their site? their is a total of 32 shots, most of them are from the XBOX and a few from what i think is the upcoming PC and those are the ones that cought me off guard.
The first twelve shots are great looking!,... and then theirs about 9 shots that...well?... they look like crap to me, especialy the models.

I don't care what a game looks like as long as the gameplay is fun, they can be stick figures running around i don't care, but this is HALO! finally coming home! and i though it would at least look on parr with the XBOX i was hopping better, i see what other people are doing with graphics nowadays, but i'm not a developer so what do i know, i'ts just that those shots are kind of crappy to me and like i said i have high hopes for HALO, shure hope it don't turn out like nightfire...OMG!!!...I shouln't be thinking like that...plz..plz... don't.

here is a link to those shots

One of the most interesting concepts of Halo is Multiplayer COOP. I see that this may not make it to the pc version See here (http://www.gamespy.com/previews/may03/halopcmp/index2.shtml).

If that's the case I'm already losing interest. Deathmatch gets old fast, but coop can keep you going for ages. Recently played 4-player coop "Conflict Desert:Storm" on friend's x-box and found it to be pretty good fun.

dude, some of those Halo shots are taken way before the Xbox version was even ANNOUNCED. They've come a long way since then...

Yeah those bottom shots are from the OLD Halo (from like 1999). I am interested in this game, I played the Xbox version to death but I'm still looking forward to some online multi-player though. Unfortunatly, co-op won't be in the PC version, which I can understand why since it would be pretty hard to add into the game, especially online. Still, the ability to use the Shrike in multi-player, and more vehicle-based maps is good enough for me, and maybe now my Xbox-hating friends will actually be willing to play the game at our lan parties. Though I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend another $50 on it...maybe I'll wait until I can pick it up for $20 or so.

Halo went downhill ever since M$ bought Bungie and redesigned the whole thing, now it's just a generic shooter plus it's designed for consoles so = pure crap.

brand new Halo shots, look pretty good. Too bad it didn't show over a year ago like it should have, would have been revolutionary, now it's just good...

Well I've had the Xbox version for a couple years now. Itís pretty fun. I'd say it was ahead of its time when it came out even for PC's
