Are the PhysX demos (the ones in the control panel) non-functional for anyone else?

If I try to run any of them they give me: "Runtime Error 1511- Display cannot be created due to invalid function parameters at line 0"

They all worked for me on 177.83. This makes me wonder whether PhysX accelration is working at all with these drivers.

They're working fine for me, GTX280 as display, 8800GTS 320mb for PhysX, intel chipset.

Ahhh, finally a driver that unfreezes the digital vibrance on my SLI set up. Jeeze, what the heck was up with that.

Now to see if it really works on some of those games....I didn't see Crysis frame increase anywhere. Oh well!

Figured it out - apparently D3DOverrider (used to force triple buffering in D3D games) was causing it. With that turned off, the demos run fine; with it enabled I get the error.

So now I'm wondering if D3DOverrider interferes with PhysX.

Um don't own a Sony, haven't owned one in acouple months... And yes their laptop driver support is crappy.

I have a Gateway P6831 FX which has a 8800M GTS.

ok, gateway then, its up to them

8800GTX (Secondary machine) and these are working well with AA in everything I've tested.

TF2. Won't work in-game, or forced through control panel. 177.89 works fine.

Also, any other game that I have. AA will not work.

Anyone else notice that enabling AA in Nvidia CP on Vista now works for UT3? It prevoiusly didn't.

Just installed these. The PhysX demos (ones in PhysX CP) work for me, seem a little more fluid. I'll test Bioshock (I'm assuming DX10 since I'm on Vista 64) and CoD4:MW. I'll report back.

Odd.

I wonder why it doesn't work for me. AA doesn't work for anything! 177.89 works fine.

OK...I'm not sure if AA is on or off in TF2.

It's NOT on in LOADOUT, but it might be on in-game, though I can use 16X CSAA with no decrease in FPS over Off, 2X MSAA, 4X MSAA, and so on. They all run the same. Is it on or off? They all kinda look the same too!

BTW, I put back 177.89 driver and now AA doesn't work there either! I think.

what the hell is going on?

Ok...I uploaded an image I took at 8X CSAA in TF2. Is is ON or OFF? I can't tell!

OK...turned AA off and it did look worse, so I guess it IS working. Man...a person can hardly tell a difference in-game.

I was able to tell on the character class screen though that most of the jaggies were gone with 16Q CSAA.

So...NEVERMIND!

Can anyone link me to a tutorial about getting the Second GPU to work as a phys card. I have an Asus GTS 640 with my EVGA GTX 280. I am using these drivers, installed using teh driver sweeper method.

I can see and use teh PhysX software but I can't select the 640 GTS. If I use teh 640 GTS as primary. I can select it at that point. Shouldn't my screen still be conected to my GTX 280.

Getting frustrated with this.

For Vista, you either need a second monitor or connect your PhysX GPU to another input on your primary monitor. Follow the instructions above, and it will work.

I'm not gonna bother putting this driver back. I'll wait for the September "Big Bang II" driver

I hope the current workaround remains effective, though, as I prefer it. I have a cheap-o VGA KVM switch that I use to connect my Mac and desktop machines to a single keyboard/mouse/monitor. So I've been running through the DVI to VGA adapter on my GTX 280. What the current PhysX workaround allows me to do is hook up the KVM via VGA through the 8800 GS I'm using for PhysX, while having the GTX 280 connected via DVI.

So is this driver any good? Anyone having problems?

I'm currently on 175.19 and am thinking of upgrading... I did try some earlier Betas, but went back to latest WHQL as had some issues.

Was expecting more feedback here... man it's quiet recently...

It's definitely on man. It's quite obvious...
