View Full Version : Nvidia beating ATI to 40nm, GT200 GX2 coming
You're gonna be in for a long wait there :)
Even if the gfx cards become available, it's gonna be years before the games become main-stream.
Take the plunge and get a 260 :D

so it looks to me based on all the info so far that the only update will be a refresh of the gtx 260 with more shaders and rops to compete in the mainstream market with the 4870 since nvidia is moving directly to 40nm for next year? hopefully the new gtx 260 will be priced at $250 like the current version. A $750 Tri Sli setup with faster GTX 260s doesn't sound too crazy since it outperforms a $550 4870x2 and about equals the performance of (2) 4870x2 in CF, which is $1100, and you get CUDA supported apps, especially if you are into video editing, and physx supported games. and the upcoming 1.80 forceware drivers that will finally support multimonitor with sli enabled.
Do you have any time frame when this driver will be available? Thanks in advance !!

To hell with making current cards better, i want a real next gen card already.
*Awaits Larrabee eagerly*
you'll be waiting for a long time...real next gen Nvidia and ATI cards will be out before then. besides, the first iteration of Larrabee in 2010 will most likely suck. it will be 2011 before Intel has a good competitor.

This month "Big Bang 2". http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-driver-big-bang-geforce,6039.html Hopefully it's not just another porno video.
