After much benchmarking it appears to me that if you take drivers beyond the 29.42s (with the exception of the 30.82s which are very similar) you are losing performance on a geforce 3.
The only thing that the newer drivers seem to give a geforce 3 is increased pixel and advanced pixel shader performance. However, the Geforce 3 is limited enough that youll likely be turning those pixel shader options off in order to run at a decent framerate.
