The allure of watching 'professional' wrestling. . .do people think it is real fighting or wrestling? If not then do they just love to watch really bad acting? I do not get it. I love to watch MMA . . .it is real. I like to watch boxing . . .it is real.

they just watch it for the entertainment purpose of it...
I assume you are talking about WWF/WWE, real (olympic) wrestling is kindda cool to watch i think.
Me personally, i am not entertained by it and never watch it. Seems almost like a freakshow nowadays....

simply they would get entertained by it.
Just like how people watch say a reality show about surviving in the jungle, vs watching a "crocodile hunter" type show. Well at least reality TV is still real.
Wrestling is just like a really, really bad movie imo, and they like the entertainment.

oh vs. MMA?
MMA is not so flashy, the guys are no where as big, you dont get much other then the fights/weigh-ins, not as many hot women, no freaks, you dont really get a backstory in MMA unless its like "fighting back from an injury" or "trying to become greatest fighter ever inna weightclass".
I prefer MMA inna heartbeat, but whatever. To each their own.

Wrestling is basically a weekly drama with large men pretending to hurt each other. Its completely different than MMA. I think a big part of it is that its on so often. In MMA, your favorite fighter may have 2 fights per year and will never be seen on TV at any other time. In wrestling there are like 2 or 3 shows per week (more?) plus pay per view crap.
If MMA guys had that much on-screen time for drama they'd probably be a lot more popular too.

The important question: If you took a random selection of WWE/WWF wrestlers, and an equal number of randomly selected MMA wrestlers, who'd be more likely to win in a tag team match?

I'm luckily at this point in my life where I can listen to what you guys speak of regarding wrestling and not know what the hell you speak of. I know the gist behind the drama in the choreographed dancing of those steroid-pumped Neanderthals but gratefully I haven't experienced wrestling in it's current format for many, many years.

Because it's on all the freaking time is the only thing I can think of. I liked it... when I was 12. Even got to shake Andre the Giant's hand one time :D

It was a love of mine from age 5 to probably 30. It is acting, and drama at its finest. I just lost interest is all.
