The "optimizations" will probably be less effects/tri-count/shader instructions, etc.

There's no "magic button" to make a game uber-fast.

What ive seen it looks better, more action at screen and the best thing they promise, it will run better.

Ive never had a problem with Crysis ,It runs how it should,
Also anything Crytek take out we can put back in and then some.

This will obviously be a 1st day purchase. It would be sweet to be able to crank up the visuals a bit more than what we can with Crysis.

I would love to see a CryEngine version of Far Cry at some point too :cool:

I think there are two (realistic) possibilities:

1. The graphics fidelity has been sacrificed to improve speed.

2. Hardware's faster now than it was when Crysis was first released, so the general specs of the population are higher.

I'd say it's #2 with a dash of #1.

From what ive seen from the screens and videos, warhead looks pretty much the same as crysis. I dont care even if they dont add in new effects, the game already looks so damn good. :)
