DVI Does not work!

I have a LCD Monitor "Samsung 172T"
When I use Red hat Linux the DVI does not work. I can not get a signal. I am new to Linux
can someone help me.
This stuff is not easy.

I have almost the same problem but for me it results in psychedelic colours with the DVI cable. There are a few postings in this forum about this. The bug is reported and the answer was that they're working on it. As far as I know does the bug (the latest nVidia main driver seems to have this bug) occur for the windows version as well.

My suggestion is to report the bug to nVidia (the more reports, the more effort to fix it, i assume), wait for a new driver release and perhaps use a standard VGA cable while waiting, which is supposed to work.
