Hello everyone!

I need help, I just bought a monitor 28 "HannsG with resolution 1920.

Since playing on this monitor in full hd, I noticed the loss of FPS and bottlenecks. I believe that everything is due from the video card, I have a Gainward 8800 GTX with Zalman.

I place my configuration, I want to change the video card ...
... but I would remind you that WoW does not support the Dual GPU ...

e8500+Zalman
2xOCZ 12000 DDR3
Asus Maximus Extreme
Gainward 8800 GTX
Raptor 150gb

I read the reviews on Ati 4870 single core ... as I understand, is better than the 8800 GTX but I impressions.

Of the other games do not matter much to me.

I had read the comparative of LordJuanlo and I would ask him if he can test these cards with WoW with a trial account ...

Thx in advance, have fun!:afro:

I got a 4850 and it runs like butter @ 1680x1050 with 4x AA.

Hmm better with a 4870 at this point..

so 4870 for games that not suport sli/xfire is better then 8800GTX at 1920 resolution? (nana2)

A 4870 is much better than a 8800GTX at 1920x1200 for sure

I could try WoW with the x2 and one core disabled, so it would be like the 4870. But after seing how that card deals with LOTRO (more graphically intensive than WoW) I bet it will fly. I have never tried WoW, however if I use a trial account I will have a lvl 1 character, so no raids for me. Can you tell me what character should I create and where should I go to see a place where frames could be low?. A place where a lvl 1 character can go :)

Fix what problem? If it's that multi-GPU doesn't work it's because the 4+ year old engine doesn't really need it. I've been maxing the game out since using a 7800GT and Athlon 64x2.

WoW is very CPU bound under 1680x1050 w/ 8xTAA even in crowded areas like Shattrath on my system. And I haven't seen my framerate dip below 60 when I was riading from Kara through Illidan.

I had a 4850 for a short bit. Performance was almost identical to my 8800GT (or its just cpu bound like I said above). :p
