I'm not sure man. But your question is one I've applied to many games that I've thougth I've been interested in. But as soon as I read a review and see people hating a game I end up losing interest in it and not buying it.

I'm starting to think no matter what the game is there is someone who won't like it and some who'll think it's cool. I think I'll start buying games if I like the concept, even when I see it being slagged. In the past some of the games I've liked for the concept are games many people didn't like.

Take UberSoldier. I've never seen it, or played it, but it has mixed reviews. But it does seem to have some cool points like killing nazi's with knife's and what not. There are people who absolutely loved FEAR. I couldn't stand a minute of the game, really thought it was overhyped suckage. Then there's BioShock. I loved the art-deco ambiance and thought it was an awesome game. Some people truly hated it. It's why I'm starting to think that game reviews suck to a certain extent. You just gotta go with what you think you like and take some chances.

Damn, now you have me wanting to go back and find a copy of ShellShock: Nam'67

The game got mixed reviews, but it had a dark, gritty aura that intriqued me at first sight. I didn't buy it because it got slagged alot. Always wondered if it was something I would have liked.
