hmm

Supports NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on GeForce via CUDA 2.0 for SDK versions 2.7.3, 2.7.2, 2.8.0 and 2.8.1 (requires graphics driver v177.81 or later).

this could explain why it is not working in Infernal, not 100% sure but i think infernal uses older version of physx.

thanks for update

btw, they really should integrate physx control panel into nvidia control panel, would be better if everything would be in one place

Should we see an option in the game for PhysX?
I just started playing a few days ago and thought it was enabled. I see lots of particles when shooting wood and stuff, it looks very similar to UT3, I also see all the cloth and ragdoll stuff.

in infernal the esiest way to tell is one of the early levels there are barrells if you shot them they should break open and red/puple wine will spill out of them

Nope I have not seen that, must not be enabled. I'm ganna give Cell Factor a go at some point today, hope it works.

Cell Factor uses AGEIA physx, so GeForce physx will have no effect unfortunately :(

Do you have to uninstall the old physics software first?

Personally, I think it is wise to do so, but it may not be necessary. Try it without and see ;)
And if you get problems post back here :)

Installed over my old PhysX drivers - no acceleration.
Rebooted - no acceleration.
Uninstalled then reinstalled - no acceleration.
Reinstalled videocard driver then rebooted - acceleration.

Weird.

Hmm.. strange indeed. Got physx acceleration first time after uninstall old physx, install new physx...

It would say that it was installed and supported on the first PhysX tab. But when I went to the Settings tab, it just said it was "not Supported" and greyed out the GeForce PhysX button like when the first betas came out. :screwy:

Bizarre how the same software can behave so differently between differnt systems :alien:

Actually, I retract that statement. Not so bizarre.. more frustrating :)
