Retail or Steam? How are you getting Warhead?

Having just heard about the 3 install EA DRM I'm considering Steam for this one even though the online retail version is cheaper.

Oh and I just got a SNES last week for £5 with some games ,(I'm a fleabay freak) Should bulk up my paypal nicely :)

Retail, coz downloading with a 1 Mbps connection with 4 GB limit a month is a deal breaker for me lol

It's a DRM scheme that limits a person to 3 installs. After that you would have to contact EA to refresh your install slots ALA bioshock.

I've been googling this and I can't find any reliable source, some say 3, some say 5 activations, but no good links confirming anything.

It's almost enough to put me off buying the game. :thumbdwn:

I still can't find a general consensus on whether the steam version has an install limit or not. I will definitely be getting the steam version if it does not.

At first I didn't think it would either, but Bioshock had DRM through steam until it was removed for both retail and online by 2kGames. Would be nice if they had it available at midnight to download, but I doubt it seeing how the Clear sky launch went :(

The activation limit BS in Stalker Clear Sky is really bothering me. This DRM BS is lame.

I had it preordered but cancelled by order as soon as I found out it was coming to steam, now I have it preordered on steam. You may think it's cool to have the box and manual and all in the first 3 days, but after a few months, you'll be glad to just have it on steam. That's my experience with it. Only exception of course is if there is a collectors edition with extras discs etc. :)
