If only there was a way for experienced gamers to play the same game but at a higher difficulty level. Someone should invent something like that. ;)

:rofl

Well yes, I understand that but it's still pathetic gameplay time on normal difficulty. I have 40 hours play time on FarCry 2.

Also using Cloak you can get around most of the KPA anyway. The end was a real surprise, I mean who'd of thought you would find an experimental weapon to destroy a big alien. :rofl

MowTin there is an advanced AI mod that makes the game much harder... Just search and you shall find.

You can actually speed through most of the game if you aren't a total noob and finish much faster.

I tried it on hard and it didn't make the KPA any harder. I killed all of the KPA right up till the tank on the beach area, then I got bored.

Don't you mean 40 hours DRIVING time?

Vehicles are for pussies. Running with brief malaria black out pauses is gangster :afro:

I didn't take note but the game is extremely short. At a guess I'd say about 3 hours at the most.

3?

That's BS, you have not got a clue.

____________

Really though - the only way you did that was to run past all people which is not really what you do in an FPS. Innit?

FarCry 2 is for pussies period! It's just a fk-ed up game and can't even begin to compare to Warhead.

Oh wait, Far Cry 2 he said...

Damn, how can your brain still be there after 40 hours in that game? :O

Are you going to walk 40sq Kilometres around Africa then?

eh..... two totally different styles of games IMO. I enjoyed both but put much more time into farcry2.

FC2 is repetitive with the mission structure but gives you a true sandbox environment. Warhead is linear, scripted, less repetitive but has less replay value to me.

I really wish the dunia engine had all the crazy configuration options that the cryengine has. I though for sure it would have since it's basically a modified cryengine.

Ever heard of FAST travel? So you can actually play the game instead of driving and killing respawning enemies all the effin' time?

The fast travel is terribly implemented. Most of the time have to travel way too far out of the way to get to a travel port and then a lot of times it doesn't take you close enough to where you really want to go. It's among a lot of complaints I have about Far Cry 2. The game IMO just was not thought out well at all. Some people can handle (or even like) a really tedious game. For me, when it gets to the point of taking the fun out of the game (when the dislikes far outweigh the likes), I get rid of it. I gave Far Cry 2 a shot (because of the hype and I liked the original Far Cry so much) and played it for a few hours. Finally got to the point of just not enjoying the game saying, "enough of this crap", and un-installed it (and never looked back). I have too many other good games to play.

With Warhead, I don't even use vehicles. The game is so short I walk everywhere to prolong and enjoy the game more.

That's how I was with farcry 2. I admit, I downloaded a trainer simply to remove the limitations on how far you can run before the screen goes all blurry. It honestly made the game MUCH better because there's a lot of areas that I enjoyed on foot more than I would have in the vehicle... particularly around enemy spawn factories... er.. checkpoints.... :o

But yeah FC2 was much more enjoyable being able to huff it on foot across some of the terrain. In total honesty, if that fix wasn't around to get rid of the malaria running crap, I probably would have never re-installed the game. I'm glad I gave it a 2nd chance even if the colors were rather washed out and drab in some areas. That was originally another gripe.. at some places, the colors were just brown and brown~ish green but there were other areas that were absolutely spectacular to look at.

I'll give FC2 anotehr chance if a mod or command changes the spawn rate and radius which right now is ridicolous for game. You already know who you are going to met in battle exactly at which location and amount of enemies. Takes out a lot of the immersion.

It's a flaw in the way you play the game, not the game so much. Take a different route or avoid the checkpoint. The enemies re-spawn because the devs designed it that way, knowing you will go back the same way.
