The flickering black tiles that I'm seeing only occur when I have AA enabled. I'm glad I can kill AA and still enjoy the game because its not worth it with all the flickering. I do miss AA though. :(

I also get some flickering with FSAA on in both Crysis and Warhead. I have to run both with FSAA off because the effect is rather annoying. I blame it on Nvidia's lack of coming out with a good driver for quite awhile now.

playing thru 2nd level again and this game is sure ram hungry. my G15 was hovering around 84percent the whole time.

this is DX9 1600x1200 on a 20inch monitor. all enthusiast settings no AA. vista64 with 4gigs ram.
sry it's a little hard to read......about 2.1gigs ram usage.

just finished this today! Damn it was an awesome but short ride! loved the new weapons and the general performance and the way everything flowed! Definetly loved the way it flowed but in terms for general open worldness still love the first one in that regard but I prefered warhead's action sequences and a few different area's and things to explore!

Come on crytek bring us our prophet game!

As as side note, does anyone actually like Oneal's character? The dude was a real prick! I did not like his voice acting or dialog at all. As I was playing and everytime he spoke, I was going, "shut the F_uck up already". If I could, I would just shoot the dude. Now that would be funny, if you could walk up to him and put a bullet in his head. Heh heh

I've just installed a new GTX 260, and have been really pleased with it so far. Everythings worked great with every game I've tried, until I tried Crysis Warhead.

The first few levels were fine, but then when I reached Frozen Paradise inside the carrier, I started noticing graphical glitches in certain areas:

And then the same again in the tunnels on the following levels. It only appears to happen indoors. I've read elsewhere that other people are experiencing the same problem with the GTX 260. Disabling Antialiasing does resolve the problem. But I dont really see this as a satisfactory solution. I havn't paid all that money to run games without AA.

Anybody any idea's what the issue might be?

Much appreciated in advance

UPDATE:

This problem appears to be shadow related as well, as it only occurs on Gamer settings and above.

There's a blocky artifact over the hole. It occurs only on shadows and when AA is enabled.

Well I compleated Earhead yesterday and I really enjoyed it, It would have been nice if it was a bit longer but for Ģ15 it was money well spent. I even got the little wife to start playing it after she seen me playing the train part.

I've just finished it...IMO, they should rename it to Crysis "Asshead", ie, you're a asshead for buying it.......guess it'll make for a useful benchmark:thumbdwn:

It wasn't THAT bad. Least Psycho had a bit of personality. Not like that blank yank Nomad.

I've only played the Crysis demo, but Warhead was supposed to be the hi-octane version of Crysis, so I can see myself falling asleep thru Crysis when I get round to buying it.
My problem with this game is that I didn't like the weapons nor the enemies/aliens.....so graphics aside, it was only okay, been there and done that many times before.

LOL, since you claim you are "Best Far Cry Player", how are the weapons and enemies in Warhead so different from FC to make you not like it? :headexplode:

I hate the squid "things", and found that the weapons lacked the punch and impact that Far Cry's did.
Also, I didn't enjoy the vehicle action that much either....I found the vehicles to be cumbersome and difficult to shoot with.

I would also rather that it was twice as long and cost the same as a traditional game.

I'm going to buy Crysis so that I can max it on my next system and run it thru a 40in 1080p LCD.

Far Cry "wowed" me as did the Fear demo back in 2005, but none of these latest games have advanced enough for me to get over-excited.

RB - you and Crysis don't seem to have a good relationship. :p Don't like the guns and the enemies... :/

ATM I'm on the bridge of the train mission - after the cut scenes. I have to say - some of the fighting is like Serious Crysis!!! (y'know - Serious Sam :D) It's insane! The performance also seems quite a bit better.

I've had a few stability issues and the game can be quite rough around the loading screens... as well as being awkward on alt-tabbing.

EDIT:

Well, I just finished it and overall it's a wicked ride... "high octane" - well no **** there Sherlock! A game like this requires a good "gaming mouse" or just a mouse that fits well into your hand. ... and it sounds a bit cooler - especially on the single shot mode. However... the availability of the SCAR ammo and the game play in Warhead made SCAR a bit less special. I mean, shooting the SCAR on auto almost breaks my heart. :o I'm used to just making headshots with it - it's like a quality-mini-sniper-rifle.... almost!

SCAR=:headexplode: for the NKs. :p
