I have been looking forward to this game, I will probably get it on the PC and PS3 on release.

If this demo is good....

I found the first one too repetitive. Hopefully this one does things better.

Cool. I will wait for english demo though.

Stuff like a seamless loading handcrafted world that take 6h to traverse across on foot makes me wanna play it.

It's a Diable clone... how can it not be repetitive?

There's repetitive and TOO repetitive... Notice my distinction...

I might buy this just to see if I like the way they handle the DRM. It's similar to Spore and Warhead but they give back the activation if you uninstall it and they have a revoke tool in case you didn't have a net connection when you uninstalled or the computer crashed to get back your activations. That at least sounds reasonable to me unlike the EA stuff where you have to go begging support for one.

In these type of games you click a single button most of the time... they are going to be repetitive no matter what...

I'm curious, why are you getting both versions?

I'm curious, why are you getting both versions?

The developer said that the PC and X360 are one version of the game while the PS3 version will be another due to different engines. Sure I am going to get it from gamefly on the PS3 to make sure its good but I will most likely get the both since I have some friends who are console only gamers and are interested in this game.

(I usually end up buying two versions of games due to this, I own 2 Oblivions, 2 Orange Boxes for example).

I'm talking about enemy types, set pieces etc. The first one offered very limited variety. Diablo did things much better...

The Temple Guardian seems to be a scifi-fantasy unit with tech weapons.

Check their special mounts :D

Is there a way to attack an opponent just once but the character to keep attacking? Is there a way not to have to click at an opponent every single time you want to hit them?

Tony, welcome to ARPG :p

I liked first Sacred but, I love Titan Quest and its expansion. I don't have time for anything more than a few hours of gaming every week, so it must be something BIG, to buy a game these days. I think I'll wait for Diablo III :o

I just finished the demo, and I really liked it.
Great graphics (ran flawlessly @ 1290x1200 highest settings, weather effects and 2xAA), and I really liked to explore this "small" portion of the map offered as a demo.
I had a few bugs, but there were all listed as "knows issues" in the readme.
My only complaint is securom that makes several error messages when launching the game and loading a character (I have the same problem with crysis warhead and grid), and I don't know how to resolve this :(
Exploring the cemetary contained in this demo reminded me of the first sacred, in wich reading the graves was really funny (lots of private jokes), and the graves in this demo contained this same level of jokes (I read a grave with "medic!" written in it ^^).
Overall it looks like a great game imo ^^

I really liked the first sacred, and I'm really looking forward for this one.

Securom even on demos... my gawd

Yeah it sucks, but there was a valid reason for it. Apparently unprotected demos give the crackers a huge head start at cracking the game when it hits retail. And some even got around the protection by using the demo executable instead of the full retail.

But it is funny, my comodo firewall keeps poping up sacred2.exe is doing this and that then s2gs.exe is trying to gain elevated privileges and get into debugging mode or whatever. If I just tell comodo that I trust the apps those messages go away :).

Yeah, you can click and hold and move the pointer after a mob is killed.

I like the game, but I had hoped for more changes to some of the core gameplay from Sacred. My biggest gripe is that they haven't change the way special attacks works in Sacred 2. In a game like Diablo 2, you are using many different special attacks all the time. There you can evolve gameplay from using skills, which feels very active. In this game it's mostly auto-attacking and using a few specials when they aren't on cooldowns. Using Combos to chain attacks is interesting but it gives you even longer cooldowns. This makes the hack&slash core game feel passive and ultimately a bit boring.

But I love the huge world, map and quest system. The graphics are good too. I'll probably buy it but am a bit reluctant.

This game felt like the devs took a 10-year nap after releasing Sacred 1. Uninstalled after 10 minutes.

I ordered a copy from gogamer but is this game not being released in the US? I noticed that when I ordered it it had the (I) mark which usually indicates that it is an import. That is just kind of weird as there was no other version available to order. Still not bad considering it was only $39.90 :)

Canceled my order because apparently the US release date is in November, and the one that is suppose to be released in October might be the German version.
