Wow it has an SD card slot? I wonder if there is any way to get homebrew software to work that way.

Its too bad they didn't make the resolution a little higher with the bigger screen. The current screen is just a little too low-res to properly display old 16bit console games in emulators.

Anyway, sounds kind of pointless since the battery life is WAY down. I'll stick with my DS:Lite and R4DS.

What a worthless update. Doesn't add anything to the system other then increasing the screen size. I rather stay with my DS since it has better battery life.

This is another case of "put it out there and people will buy it cuz it's new but really it is a repackaged version of the same thing".

Yeah seems like a crappy update to me.

DSi has built-in 3mp digital camera. And it comes with software that allows you do cool stuff with pictures you took, like deforming your semi-hot girlfriend's face or whatever.

The main thing is they took away the GBA slot so it won't be able to use older games. Sounds like it is more of a profitability update.

DSi has built-in 3mp digital camera.

It's not 3MP, its .3MP... It's VGA.

Maybe I'm just assuming things....

But with all the digical cameras in everything imaginable in digital equipments out there (exhaggeration yes, but you get the idea), who would need one in a portable gaming system? Heck I hardly ever use one on all the phones I have, and not even on the new Iphone I got regardless of the morphing apps available. Not to mention the affordable digital cameras out there. Seems kinda pointless to throw that feature in there, but I guess the kiddies will dig it.

Unless, of course, they manage to integrate that into gameplay, but I don't see it happening in this (new?) hardware. Maybe in the future?

Sadly this will sell very well because it has Nintendo written on it.

Anything that has camera built-in... it'll sell EXTREMELY well in Japan. Japanese just freaking love taking pictures and giggles all around or give out "peace" sign when getting picture taken. :P

I'm not sure if it'll sell equally well here but we'll see.

Yep.

That's pretty much all I have to say about it as well.
