hehe, I came across a deal today I couldn't refuse.

19inch Viewsonic VX922

E6600 (B2 rev. which i've clocked to 3ghz 333x9 1.26vcore)
Evga 680i sli
Evga 8800GTS 640mb G80
2x1GB Corsair DDR2 1066
1x74GB Raptor
2x250GB WD drives in raid 0
Antec Sonata with Antec TP3-550
And a samsung sh-182m

Not a bad little box in my opinion, especially for the price! Haven't decided what to do with it so far, but I think it may end up as an HTPC/File Server. It was dirty as hell inside, so I took a good two hours to clean it out, re-wire and reseat the heatsink.
Its some zalman hs (not the cnps9500), but I think i'll end up replacing it soon as its a tad on the hot side.

Just wanted to share :)

Holy crap. That's a hell of a deal.

If you're using it for a fileserver I'd sell that video card though. No sense sucking an extra 100+ watts out of wall 24\7 for nothing. I put together an Athlon 64 fileserver recently with a crappy old Geforce 2 MX to make sure it doesn't generate too much heat or use much power.

I ordered a wireless keyboard/mouse for this and I picked up two wireless 360 controllers for it.
I think I may put this in the living room, so I can play some games with the 360 controllers and it'll serve nicely as a "console replacement/htpc."

Lego Indy and Lego Batman are installed, I'm gonna install Fifa09 once it arrives in the mail and any other two player game that I can think of and get away with using the 360 controllers to play with.

All in all, i'm very happy with this purchase :o

You obviously just purchased stolen goods!!!!! :p

You know, that did cross my mind and it still is in my mind. But I got it at garage sale on my way from work. Saw it sitting there, it was the LCD that struck my attention at first. But I asked the lady if I could power it on in the garage, and she said sure.

I didn't ask who's it was, or why so cheap, I just gave her the cash and left.

2GB of ram is more than enough for what its use will be.

It was like a middle aged women, maybe in her 40s~early 50s and it was a yard sale/garage sale.

Dunno, don't care.

Not the best attitude to have, but (nana2)

Well, I got it up and running. Outputting to my 52inch DLP in my living room (Mitsubishi WD-52631) @ 1080p Lego Batman and Lego Indy plays great :) Machine runs top notch and the drives in raid 0 are a nice addition, I get about 115mb reads from it which aint bad imo.
Can't wait for SR2 to come out so I can see how that runs on it, along with GTA4 for the PC.

:nana:

I did think about re-selling it, but I don't think its worth the trouble. and once I get a better cooler, i'm gonna see if I can push it past 3ghz. but 3ghz is such a nice even number.
