i don't use 64bit and i can tell you that vista 64 bit favors more driver support than xp64bit does.

Vista 64 for me.I have used it pretty much since the day I bought Vista Ultimate without too much headache but I did have trouble with finding drivers for XP 64 when I tried it long ago.

Hated XP Pro 64-bit as the driver support was seriously lacking, even more so when vista came along.

Vista FTW!

Driver support is just fine now, out of all the hardware I have in my machine - and I have a LOT of it - the only xp64-bit driver missing is for my M-Audio soundcard but seeing as M-Audio don't even have the vista64bit drivers out yet I don't blame this on XP :p

Oh, and my Siemens Gigaset basestation drivers missing as well, but this is easily solvable through a virtual machine running XP32bit.

I think the driver support for 64bit only picked up after Vista..

Vista 64 for me. Used XP64 for a while when SLIed GTX2x0s kept downclocking in Vista... It's similar to XP32 and I prefer Vista over it...

how the hell can anyone prefer an OS like XP 64 that has outdated drivers and all around poor support at this point?

Vista x64 trounces it imo.

Updates are still being rolled out and drivers are being produced for XP64. What are you talking about?

Vista 64 since launch and I won't touch XP unless it's on someone else's computer and they're paying me.

I'm back to XP 32-bit due to extreme frustration w/Vista's activation scheme in regards to overclocking.

Back to XP 32 here cause I was tired of losing 10%+ of my gaming performance just running Vista. Vista wasnt bad just slower.

:wtf:

What's happening? I've never heard of anyone having to re-activate after an OC.

I'm happy with Vista 32.

The only thing I hate is how it handles VPU recoveries. In XP, I never had a driver crash or any errors, I load up Vista and start to get 'driver quit responding' crap even though I never had a single issue in XP. I wish you could just disable it without losing Aero.

Ummm.... 4-5 FPS in Crysis is like a 15-20% performance increase. Bad example ;)

Lol at this thread. 3 votes for XPx64, 28 for Vista x64.

XPx64 may have great driver support now, but before Vista came out, it was crap. Actually scratch that, it was worse than crap. It straight up sucked. I tried it once out of curiosity and within 2 hours had formatted and reinstalled XP 32bit.
