View Full Version : Dualview without Reboot?

I sometimes hook up my PC to an LCD TV over HDMI/DVI but the nVidia control panel won't allow me to enable Dual View without a system reboot (Clone View works fine). I've tried with a lot of different driver versions but it's always the same. Is there any way around this? I know I can do this with non nVidia hardware/drivers so what's going on?

I managed to find these so it look like it's a long term issue:

I also tried it with a 6800 gfx card I have in another PC and I got the same behaviour (i.e. no dual view without a reboot).

because my second display is an LCDTV and doesn't have any common resolutions with my monitor I don't even get the horizontal/vertical span option (not even a reboot helps there)... :(
