Help with my Ram

Hello,

I have 2, 2 gig sticks of DDR3 ram in my pc,

I have 2 Slots left,

here's my question,

the ram that is currently in the pc is at 6-5-5-18 1333 hertz

the ram I have lying around is 7-7-7-20 1030 hertz or some thing like that,

If I put this ram in and set its timings and Hertz to match the ram that is in it will it work? break etc.

it is recomemnded running the same brand of RAM if you have more than 2gb... in your case you will be able to run but just bring the RAM timing to the highest common denominator. 7.7.7.20... and whats up with the Mhz speed? 1030Mhz is DDR3? weird. DDR2 can do that too

If it cant take it it just wont boot, I doubt you'd break it.
whats the official rating of both lots of ram? You say the first ones are @6-5-5-18 1333, Is that tighter than it says on the sticks or stock?

You should set to the slower speed then tighten all from there (if it boots), If the voltage requirements for both are very different I wouldn't bother.
