Windows Server 2003 Entiprise Edition can not sell on EBAY?

Ok guys I own an unopened unused copy of the above title. Ebay pulled it off their site because they say Microsoft contacted them and said it was, and I quote, "violation of intellectual property rights". I know you guys know what the he!! this means because I sure as heck do not. I have posted the entire email for your reading pleasure. This is just plain pure BOB>(BUNCH OF BULL)




You recently listed the following listing:



The listing was removed because it violated eBay policy. We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

one thing you need to understand, you NEVER OWN software.

you just buy permission to use it or hold license, depending what those terms, that is where EULA comes in.

Ok I get that but I have not asked for permission to use it yet, IE Activate or register it with my name. So what gives with the other 30+ listings on Ebay that are selling the product? It does not make sense to me.:argh:(bs2)

My brother works for one of the big computer companies and it was given to him. He recently moved and while he was going thru his junk packing he handed it to me and said he would never use it.

you cant resell volume licenses or gifts from MS.

if that sale would get tracked back to your brother, he could get fired and possibly in legal trouble
