You got it at the $119? Holy crap Nice! That link now shows $325! I wonder if they screwed up and had to honor the lower price while it was up?

Nice find Tyr!

Some guy from those eVGA forums said he called tiger direct and amazon and said it was a good deal. 1000 units or something and they may do it again. So refresh, refresh lol

Now, until this is sitting on my porch, it's no guarentee, so if anyone sees it at $119, buyer beware.

Looks like you're getting a 680i for that price... :(

Yea it's looking that way. the old bait and switch.

So to cancel or go through with it?

Only a $125 but the thing is I dont like to be double crossed. If I'm scammed and they dont rectify it with prepaid shipping back i'll get pissed..It becomes a principle issue.

They should pay for the item to be sent back, it's their friggin' mistake...

exactly, i'll contact my CC company and make a fraud claim and try for a chargeback. Free Mobo maybe, not sure how that works? I have screen shots and couple conformations that I'm indeed getting the 260, part number and all. Nothing even remotetly says a 680i mb in any of my sale conformations.

If it is a mistake, they need to get on this quick and cancel these orders or just bite the bullet and send the orders.

If they ship the MB, they're gonna get in to some trouble imo.

In all honesty, this is my first purchase from Amazon and all I really know from them is that they do have insane deals like this sometimes. So I jumped on it.

I don't know how your country does things, as I'm not in the USA. Some other users might know though. Fellas?

I'll only be pissed if they send the MB. If they cancel my order due to their mistake, it won't be that much of an issue. I'll just not have the $125 in my checking account, no biggie. But people are saying that this went on for 8 hours, even the picture switched from the 260 to the 680i board very beifly so someone at TD was aware. People got photos so maybe the threat of fraud due to bait and switch will make them eat this and give people their 260. Bait & Switch is a no no. (lee)

The issue though was people were buy 3-5 260 units. So even if they limit it to one I'm sure most people won't complain. It would probably reduce their orded by 2/3's

this is NOT gonna end pretty i can tell you that much...

Yeah I just called TigerDirect and I asked the guy why I had received a 680i Tracking Number, but an EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 confirmation email from both Amazon and Tiger. The guy said he had no idea, and he looked up my order and said I bought a 680i. So he basically told me to just speak with an Amazon customer service representative about it. Any ideas before the flame wars begin across 5 separate forums?

Got the same Ship Confirmation email with the mobo. Called and was told that they're requesting UPS Delivery Intercept returns, so at least we won't have to worry about returning it. They said they've already received a bunch of calls about it.

interesting..

well after thinking it out, here are the things we stand to lose or gain-

A) we pay the costs of shipping it back from our homes for the refund through tigerdirect.com if we choose to wait it out and the A-Z guarantee thing doesn't work out.

B) we get the product, file the claim, and actually get the card through either Amazon or Tigerdirect. We win.

We stand to lose 15-20$, we stand to gain a 310$ graphics card for 125$.

I have to agree... im suprised how many people were all over this. Common sense should've prevailed here.

Thats pretty sad you took it to the BBB. First off, it was not a typo, it was not a human error. Those pages are generated automatically and there was some sort of error. Secondly, they have safeguards in place for this kind of thing, they clearly state in the policies on their website that theyre not responsible for price errors and they do not have to honor them. Not only that, every invoice I've ever received has had initials on it, meaning its checked by a human before it leaves the warehouse. Bottom line is you were trying to get something for next to nothing, dont except any action on your behalf from the BBB nor should you expect anything from Tiger or Amazon, they dont owe you squat.

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. TigerDirect.com reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.

Tiger Direct doesn't have to give you anything but a full refund. From a business perspective, they've handled this snafu ethically and morally.

Amazons Terms and Conditions dictate that items they list for other companies fall under the terms and conditions of those other companies.

I agree. I posted this over at the EVGA forums too.. but I can't believe the lack
of substance people are displaying. -What ever happened to working hard for your
money, and enjoying what you purchase because you VALUE it. VALUE.. does
that mean anything anymore in this day n age when people are so used to
getting things for free? (ie. torrents)........ :thumbdwn:
