If you have a choice between the 4870 1Gb or BFG Maxcore 216.Based on the technology in these cards not the brand. Would like to hear the "experts" opinion here before making a decision.:headexplode:

The 4870... The 1GB version is very close to a 280 in performance...

Between the GTX260 216 and the HD4870 1gig ,the GTX260 just crushes the 4870 1gig,(ya right)no at lower resolution they are close but when you start running 1600x1200 and higher and use FSAA the HD4870 1gig comes out on top nearly all the time.It is even close to a GTX280 ,the reviews I say ,the GTX280 was winning most of the benchmarks tho not by a whole lot.If it was between those two then get the HD4870 1gig.

I'd go with the 4870.
Go with 4870 if you can get the 1GB version. Between 512MB 4870 and 896MB GTX260, latter is a better buy. Games nowadays eat-up Ram when ran at 1680x1050 or higher with AA applied. The larger V-Ram will definitely help when playing upcoming titles like FarCry 2 where there's a massive open-ended world. Larger V-Ram = little to no stuttering when entering large areas.

Doesn't matter, both are very good cards. :)

Thanks guy's. Forgot to add that I game at 1920X1200 and I like to add at least 4xAA to all games so the best option with that in mind would seems to be the 4870 1G. I didn't know that this version is so close in performance to the GTX 280.

4870 1GB for better AA scaling.
At the same price the GT260 216, overclocks more then the 4870 from i've seen and I don't use anything over 4xAA/16xAF anyway.
