View Full Version : nForce 730i has no Hybrid Power?
It support GeForce Boost, but no Hybrid Power?
Hmm I guess it's separate. The motherboard would support GeForce Boost while the discrete GPU would support HybridPower and combined you get Hybrid SLI.
Am I missing something here?
So say I get this board and put in my 9800 GTX, I pretty much can't take advantage of Hybrid SLI? I don't care so much for GeForce Boost, as I understand that is only advantageous when you're pairing a entry-level GPU with the mGPU. What I want is Hybrid Power.
What I want ideally is to, if this works with the nForce 730i based motherboards, is to run the mGPU when in desktop and have the GPU kick in when I start a game. Is it not doable with the nForce 730i?
Weird how the nForce 730a supports both GeForce Boost and Hybrid Power, while the made for Intel chipset only supports GeForce Boost.
Will these things support PhysX on the IGP though? That is what I am interested in.
edit: lol wow I have not been around here forever and my sig is very outdated.
