before voting please direct yourself to Tech Report's review (http://www.tech-report.com/reviews/2002q3/sis-xabre/index.x?pg=4) where you can see the effects TexTurbo = 0 has on performance. default value is 3.

you can see comparison screenshots of the different settings here (http://www.tech-report.com/reviews/2002q3/sis-xabre/index.x?pg=14). in addition to what Tech Report points out, look at the grate above the elevator on the right side. also look at the buildings outside the window.

keep in mind that you can't change the texture quality without some registry editing

I dont know what to say. One one hand I dont think its fair for them to have the lower quality set as default. I think that should be an option up to the user. However its really easy for someone to write a front end tweaker to allow for that...much like nV and AF fitlering in D3D...which leads me to this:

OT Rant:
One thing that has buggered me for awhile is nV Driver control pannel. I think until they have an option in it to allow for AF in D3D then it should not count in any D3D benchmarks that test for AF perfromance (again only in D3D). There is no reason why they can not have that there. No instead a person now has to download a 3rd party tweak program to get AF. ATI has had WHQL certified drivers for the last 6/7 months that have had thats had an option for AF so thats not the reason. Not every one that I know with a GF card has download the tweakers. Sorry did not mean to hi-jack the thread...
