I just became the latest member of the Team nV News Folding@Home squad. I do have a question about using it, though. Is it possible for me to have the client installed on both my laptop and desktop? I'd like to be working on units at work on my laptop and then work on units on my desktop at home. Both computers wouldn't be working at the same time so that's not an issue, but I'd like to be able to have at least one machine working at all times.

I don't think that is an issue, afaik you can have multiple machines working on it under the same name. Or I could be wrong (yeah right:angel: )

I'm pretty sure Vamp is right...for once :D You can have multiple machines under one name.

I'd run it, but A. blue lights and fans are bad for sleep, and B. I think leaving a TBird on all the time might increase world temperatures by a few degrees ;)

there was someone on my former team who had over 400 computers running folding@home under one name.

Thanks for the responses guys. But I think I'll just keep it running on my laptop because that's the computer that's on most of the day for me. I don't want to keep my desktop running all the time because I have a feeling I'll be exorbitantly increasing my electricity costs. But at work, I get all the electricity I want for free. :D

Sure it'll take longer to complete units on this machine, but it's better than nothing. ;)

you don't have to leave it on all the time... it'll pick up where it left off :)
