Game looks pretty good thats for sure. Just about right for smooth fps. The AI seem to be lacking quite a bit tho, and after playing crysis I'm gonna miss jumping on a rooftop to crack it in half and have the building fall on top of the baddies ;)

Yep you should do fine with that setup, im on a single highly overclocked 260 myself and currently gaming at 1680X1050 so I feel pretty good about it.

My only gripe with FC2 are the lighting and shadows. The lighting can be over saturated at times, but the shadows never change in tone. The shadows are always pitch black as is indoors, as if they were added in there with a black sharpy. The shadows certainly make indoors darker than they really should. At least, Crysis's shadows had various tones depending how the lighting hit the environment.

I think the shadows look great and as for Crysis the shadows might be more complex but Crysis is also a PC exclusive, at any rate graphics aside FC2 will be much more immersive and overall more impressive than Crysis could ever dream of being.

Hopefully Steam has enough bandwidth when this releases. Got my pre order in the other day. :)

In most demonstration vids, and those live demos that they do at gaming conventions they always seem to be either playing on the easiest difficulty, or have some sort of god mode going on. Therefore the AI and gameplay can often seem ridiculous.

I'm afraid that it's gonna take a while to download FC2, therefore I won't get to play it at all Wednesday night. LAME!

The A.I. still looks unimpressive, I miss F.E.A.R.'s AI, but i'm sure there will be some A.i. mods a few weeks after release.

Thanks for the links! Vids 3 & 4 really got me excited about the gameplay, I love the environmental effects as well. Looking forward to picking this one up. I only hope they were playing on low difficulty though cause that AI was pretty dumb.

Well, if you read back when FEAR was a big hit, FEAR only had a "perceived" great AI. They used simple routines to make the enemy look extremely intelligent. All the player could think of was "wow, first time done in a game, the AI is great" while the only thing they did was appear to make it so... It was all in an interview by the developers... It was a great experience and its just too bad others can't do the same...
