I have a 8800GT 512 MB DDR3, Core 2 Duo @2.13Ghz, 3GB RAM.
Will I be able to play the following games in maximum or near maximum settings..

1. Crysis
2. Call of Duty 4
3. Flight Simulator X

Also one more thing.. Does buying a gaming mouse makes that much difference in the gaming
experience. I have a regular logitech optical mouse ?

I know this might sound naive for experienced gamers. I am just a noob in gaming.. :)

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

FSX is more CPU dependent than GPU - so overclocking your processor will yield you more fps than the card you own, as all the mid to high end card will return similar performance in FSX.

I run a 9800GT 1Gb, which is the same core as the 8800gt, and FSX runs very well with my 2.6ghz X2 with mostly high settings.

Take a look at the FSX sticky thread.

Cod4 runs great @ 2048x1536

Crysis requires tweaking to run reasonably.

FSX runs fine @ 1024x768 and with some tweaking (I copied some guys settings from tinternet),
I'm just installing it on XP now so I can play with 2 screens,
Come to think of it Ive only tried it in Vista 64bit so might be a bit smoother in XP (although not with 2 screens).

Was probably something like this ,FSX likes a fast cpu though.
