View Full Version : How do I get rid of an extra profile when I start WinXP?
Ok, I have WinXP Pro and I had a problem with a password or something, it was a couple of months ago. Anyway, I tried to reinstall a fresh copy over the existing copy and it made two different profiles. So when I turn my computer on, I have two choices of operating system, both Windows XP Pro. Does anyone know how to get rid of one of them and if you can get rid of one, can I transfer all the setting such as IE favorties?
to get rid of the menu thing
1) right click My Computer
2) click Properties
3) click Advanced
4) click Settings
5) select a Default operating system
6) uncheck Time to display list of operating systems
for the internet favorites and other files, just do a search on the hard drive for them. They should be located though in C:\Documents and Settings
