Installed new nforce drivers which killed my dvd drive and caused my plextor cdrw to not be detected, even though bios showed it master on secondary channel, this was using the sw drivers from the nforce, now after uninstalling theses drivers when I boot the system i get

" Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: Systme32\drivers\nvatabus.sys"

I've tryed to boots off the winxp cd and do a repair after which I still get this message while trying to boot into windows xp's gui.

UPdate I am going to reinstalll windows as repair is not working, my advice is do not use the sw drivers which might cause problems with dvd/cdrw drives and system instabilitlies.

New whql drivers are suppose to fix problems not cause them, I hope that nvidia does more testing before releasing drivers that can and will corrupt windows installes.
