No. Not needed. I think we do need to workout which forum to use for the odd cell phone question. Open or General?

I would say general hardware. The open forum is for non technical stuff. And I definitely don't think we need a cell phone forum. There are rarely any questions on them. Or Mp3 players for that matter.
definitely not. i dont want you ppl callin me. :bleh:

I think a cell phone forum is a good idea and maybe if there was one, there would be more discussion and posts on this topic. We all have cells now and, at least for me, it's a pretty expensive monthly bill (my bill is about $120 a month for two lines on AT&T!). I'd love to find a way to reduce this but I absolutely must keep my iphone because if I'm going to pay so much for service, I at least want to get 100% out of it with a phone that does everything.

i would like a subforum to discuss apps and whatnot for smart phones. maybe we can put it as a subforum in the General Hardware section. i will moderate it.

How about you just goto Howardforums or xda developers. Gold mine for phone apps. Especially free homebrew ones that fix little bugs with your particular make and model.
