I buy all my stuff here, unless they don't have it of course. The store is 7 miles from my house and I have never had any problems with them. I do not know about on line since I can drive to them but they are great for me. In fact a year ago I got a MSI 266A mobo, memory and case. The counter guy asked if I wanted them to install it for me. I asked how much and how long and what kind of paste and how ya gonna do it. He said right now and you can come in the back and relax with the guys while we put it together. 7 minutes later it was done and we were all sitting around watching TV. :D No charge BTW. It saved me time I guess. LOL but all I had to do was install the OS. Pretty cool but I was a little worried not being the one installing the HSF tho. ;)

Any way here is a great Lite On burner 52x24x52x (http://www.infotechnow.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1212). The store is called Infotech. I just thought if anyone was looking for a good deal on a great burner then here one is. :)

I think Newegg has that one for the same price.

Fantastic burner, put one in a friend's box a few months back. Still coasterless..

How are Lite-On DVD drives, by the way? Are they as good as the Pioneer slot-load DVD drive that everybody loves so much?

I have no clue but I shall find out. ;)

Edit:

I was on their web site and I saw no mention of a DVD burner. :(
What I love about Lite On is that their OEM's are just as good as their Box. I have the 48x24x48 I am blown away with it.
I have made a image of BF1942 so I can mount it with Clone CD and at max speed I get no problems with mouting or with audio. It is a increadible burner.

did you mean dvd drives or dvd burners??

because i also have a liteon dvd drive:D since i never owned another dvd drive before i dont know how to compare it to anything... all i can say is it works great for me... runs movies great, regular cd's, etc. i never have any stuttering or anything like that... and its pretty quiet. i have had no problems with it. im really impressed with liteon's products.. they are cheap, fast, and sturdy... im going to only buy liteon's from now on if they keep their record up

another vote for Liteon, my DVD Drive works great, and I've been told my TDK CDRW drive is actually manufacturered by Liteon which would explain why I love it as well

dunno bout their dvd player.. I have a toshiba myself..

but their cd RW that I have works great...

lite-ON does have a good rep AFAIK... especially on the boards I moderate...

toshiba/sony/panasonic/lite-ON and a coupla others are regarded well...

I own a Lite On 16x DVD and a Lite On 52x24x52 CD-RW and I love them both. If they ever go down I'll replace them with Lite On products without even thinking twice. I've only had a couple of coasters but those were my fault. :D You can't beat the price and the performance is top notch. Man, I sound like an advertisement. :)

ya know what? I have to agree on Lite-On's value... makes a lotta Plextor owners wonder why they spent their extra cash...

As for DVD drives, I've never used a lite-on, but I have an LG 12x and i has worked great for over a yeay... plenty o movies, plus it's always been my game installation drive...

I'm right with marqmajere. I own both their DVD and CDRW drives, and both have been nothing short of excellent. My previous DVD drive was a 12x from Delta Electronics that had slower performance than my parents' 4x DVD ROM drive, so you can imagine my excitement when I was able to play a skip-free movie with this drive.

I've had nothing but trouble from my Plextor 16/10/40a :(

Gonna get a Lite-On to put in my main machine, the Plextor is already in exile in a spare box *kicks it*

I've never used a Lite-On DVD drive but that's because I've been very satisfied with Pioneer for that purpose. My Pioneer DVD-RW is functioning perfectly and it's a hell of a lot quieter than my old DVD reader.

For regular CD burning I have a Lite-On 48/12/48 that's been nothing but flawless. Great drives at great prices. No reason not to own a Litey as far as I'm concerned. :D
