reviews are coming in for this game and they all state the same. too bad. I was looking forward to a good Bond game since Goldeneye on the N64.

Also sucking is Legendary and Spiderman: Web of Shadows.

Hopefully these games won't be a let down on the PC.

Need for Speed Undercover 11/17/08
Left for Dead 11/17/08
GTA4 11/18/08

7.2 is hardly a bad rating. Solace is just one of those games you'll pick up when its dirt cheap (ie: 20 bucks or less). I mean..this IS a Treyarch game after all. I expect a fairly average game from them though Call of Duty 5 could surprise.

7.2 is not perfect, but it is not bad either

Gameplay is pretty mediocre. Framerate is pretty bad. It's capped at 30 fps but oddly enough it even goes below that. I've seen around 23 fps at some point.

Edit: I never use vsync.

This will be one to pick up when it hits clearance shelves, or I can get it used for $25 or less.

Bought it last night. Not a 'AAA' title but not too bad. I'll finish it for sure. I like the cover system. Graphics are OK. Weapon sounds need alot of help but tolerable. Nice cut-scenes so far.

Now, if I could just solve WTH it locks up at the menu but not in-game (in both Vista and XP with diff vid driver versions)...grrrr. My guess is it's the 'Windows Live' but not sure yet.

all those movie based games feels like they are made for kids.

Play Chronicles of Rid****: Escape from Butcher Bay and you may rethink that statement.
Probably one of the best games based on movie license ever made. Right next to the Star Trek: Elite Force series. So not everything is crap, only if company is willing to make a quality release and not just rely on well known brand name...

As others said, my love of FPS and Bond means I will get this evetually, but not at $60. Probably $30 or below.

It's such a shame because it did look pretty good. Goldeneye on N64 was awesome and probably one of best 007 games around.

I don't think it's worth $30 based on the demo.
It's 2005 graphics, in fact it looks like Max Payne:thumbdwn:

I kinda liked it. Graphics are not everything and ppl praise them way too much.
No matter how funny it may sound but if the price will be right i might even buy this one.
I never really liked 007 games but this one kinda stands out a bit and doesn't feel like total crap while playing it. At least demo as much as it's short and all...

I was way wrong. This game is actually really good! Very fun!

Definitely a sleeper hit!

Cover system like Rainbow Six:Vegas
Jumping over objects like CoD4
Some sweet weapons
Good voice acting
Nice cut-scenes
Great action
Something different with every level

Reminds me alot of NOLF.

Good stuff.

There are very few times when a television show or movie tie in game is really good. Most are embarrassingly bad. Why bother making a good game when you can sell it by name alone? I question the opinion of those who actually anticipate the release of these games.

But this one is actually good. See my previous post.

Finished it and enjoyed it thoroughly. I plan on playing through it again. =]

This game grows on you, some levels are really great, looks allmost perfect with tons of detail, like the Catwalk or Casino and others are..well a bit rushed. but the gamplay is really top action all the time with breakable envirements, nice cut scenes and of course the cover-system. There is a couple of things I dont get and I dont like, If this is the cod-engine why cap the Fps to max 30 on the pc-version, why create a exe-launcher to hide all importent files like the real game.exe, config files and so, this makes it impossible to create an SLI-profile.

It's capped at 30fps? You gotta be ****ting me. I mean, I thought it was running real bad, but I chalked it up to accomodating for multiple platforms. 30fps is bloody retarded. Surely there's some way to uncap it? I couldn't get a console up but then again I haven't tinkered with the CoD4 engine much at all... There must be a way.

Started playing it last night and, it's wierd. Horrible FOV, feels like you're holding the gun up to your eyeballs without even aiming down the sights. Movement is somewhat fast and shaky, and the mouse feels like your typical console port (either too fast or too slow up or down depending on what you need it to do at the time). Also, the cinematics are an absolute joke... Truly I have never laughed at a 'serious' games' cinematics quite so much before. Also, at the end of the first level, who was the guy in the chopper that you shoot? I thought he was the creep you'd gone there to get, yet bond turns around and caps him one right in the face? Didn't make sense.

What I do like is the cover system, and the really visceral weapon sounds and feels. Pistols in particular are fast, powerfull, and sound truly sexy. Levels are all well and good, but I get this strange feeling running around them. They remind me a lot of Quake 2/3 engine levels... Like Soldier of Fortune or something. I'm only on to the Siena rooftops at the moment (where I conveniently got glitched, couldn't move, and was bumrushed by 4 Badass Dudes™ wielding Uzi's and screaming bloody murder as they charged at me... But I do actually like it so far. It really is just mindless gumball shooter action and I'm happy to play it through to its conclusion.

Also, I hired the game. Oh **** I'm a pirate! (lee)
