Intel X58 Extreme DX58SO motherboard review and benchmarks. In next couple days we should see many more X58 mobo reviews.

I was surprised this mobo doesn't support SLI. I did read on another site that Intel is refusing to pay the NVIDIA SLI license fee since crossfire is free.

ASUS Rampage II Extreme 3-way SLI OC Test
with Bios Screenshots at vr-zone (http://www.vr-zone.com/articles/asus-rampage-ii-extreme-3-way-sli-oc-test/6165.html)
On a 3-way SLI GTX280 setup slightly overclocked, we are able to achieve a 3DMark Vantage score of P34027 and over 100 FPS in Far Cry 2 "Ultra Quality" settings at 2560x1600 resolution.

Hopefully a good Foxconn Bloodrage review gets put up soon! That board looks SWEET!

I also like the Foxconn Bloodrage look but did read at XtremeSystems Forums that the mobo is not going to be ready at Core i7 launch time. It was an insider information.

CustomPC gave Asus P6T Deluxe high score

Check the reviews and performance links here (http://www.custompc.co.uk/reviews/605112/asus-p6t-deluxe.html)

Asus P6T Deluxe CONCLUSION
There was a lot of speculation and doom-saying on various forums about the overclocking ability of lower-end Core i7 CPUs, but the P6T Deluxe proves these pessimists wrong. The P6T Deluxe isn’t only a good overclocker, but it also has an excellent layout. Add to this the rock-solid stability as we pushed the clock speeds higher, and the end result is a superb board that gets the most from Intel’s excellent new CPU. Only the high price prevents unequivocal recommendation.

Asus P6T Deluxe
Foxconn Quantum Force "Blood Rage"
MSI X58 Eclipse
are on my short list.

Gonna be kinda hard to fit that i7 proc on an x38 chipset board if you go with the Gigabyte...

My bad you're right. I just took the screen shot without reading past the first article. Sorry.

I'll get the P6T Deluxe as soon as I can find one. It's the best overall X58 board IMO. Exactly what I need.

Where is the ROG version ?

ASUS P6T DeLuxe review - X58 motherboard
review by theGuruof3D (http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-p6t-deluxe-review-x58-motherboard/)

The verdict was: Extremely recommended. "Best hardware award" granted. Lovely.

The Guru also said
Stability, speed, style, design, features... everything is just 99% right with this motherboard. There was only one thing I didn't like the positioning of; the three PCI-e x16 slots. It was deliberately done in a way that you cannot opt for 3-way SLI. See, ASUS would like you to buy the more expensive Asus X58 Rampage II Extreme for that. But if you are not planning on 3-way SLI anyway, you are good to go man.

So the question is are they saving the 100% mark for the "Asus X58 Rampage II Extreme" :)

Intel is acting silly lately, so my money goes to AMD mobo/cpu setup next time.

The ROG version (Rampage II Extreme) doesn't have the PCI/PCIe layout I need. Otherwise it looks like a great board, especially for overclocking.

I just found a shop that has the P6T Deluxe on stock. Should be here next week :)

I think that i see your problem with the slots. PCI X-Fi & PCIe controller ? :)

I just thought that you were interested in Tri SLI :)

Some OC'ing with the 920 CPU, these chips overclock pretty well. Especially for air cooling!

How long will it last at that Vcore? Whats your VTT?

1.576v on the Vcore of a 45nm processor holy macaroni!!! No way that's Prime95 Small FFT stable. :P

Is that load or idle? You mentioned air cooling, is it Thermalright or Noctua (or neither)?

I only asked about the Prime95 stability because I will be using Nehalem for a straight video encoding box and it will be running 24/7 @ near 100%. And if possible I'd like to look at getting a 920 and just overclocking it like mad, hehe. ;)

I'll understand if you can't give out much info. :)

Is this CPU @ 95w? If it is the Vcore & temps are to high.

The 920 TDP is 130W

From my understanding, the 45nm Deneb's TDP is 95watts. Interesting how Intel's parts will have the higher TDP this round than AMD's (from what I understand). Not sure if that really means anything though.

^^ that's insane. 3 GTX 280s in Tri-SLi can only pull 31FPS in STALKER Clear Sky at 2560x with no AA.

The air cooling is a Tuniq Tower.

Check this out though, with Turbo mode enabled, 4.54GHz on air :)

For Prime95 stability, 4.2GHz is really easy, and really stable. I think it can go higher.
