Does anyone for see NVIDIA releasing anything new in Dec. 08? With ATI having 65% of the market share what is NVIDIA up to in order to counter offer something better sooner then later if any? I want to use my EVGA 90-Day Step-up for something better then a 9800 GX2......

Who gives a %#$! if his system is "weaker" than yours? Not everyone feels compelled to upgrade every 2 months. Blacklash and I have both owned systems that were just as powerful/stronger than yours (my CrossfireX would've spanked your system silly, and his 4870X2 was no slouch,) and we both prefer a single GPU over it because gameplay feels more refined on it. It doesn't always come down to money; sometimes it's preference.


Just what are you going to use all that power for, anyway? Most PC titles play just fine on a single 260.

Digital_Trans, you ask the same question in this thread that you did in a previous thread. If I may comment - this board has a Rumor section for a reason. People post speculations and rumors as to future and upcoming products. Some of the information is accurate, while some of it is not. I might suggest that for future inquiries about upcoming products, you start there.

Also, I don't understand why you try to intimidate people with the "size" and "power" of your system. Having two video cards in your system does not mean you play games twice as fast -- it just means you paid twice as much as most. Sure, SLI has its benefits. However, most people prefer one video card as it is seemingly less troublesome. I wouldn't be waving SLI around like it is the cure for cancer if I were you. You're right, two is better than one for SLI -- because it wouldn't be SLI if there were only one.

I'm glad I put off on all the upgrades until Q4. Now I can make the purchase count and have even better compared to what alot of other users here whom have already wasted their money on the current trend of hardware and graphics cards.
